USCIS resumes Premium processing for H-1B petitions

A Supreme Court decision on Monday, June 26 allows for parts of the travel ban to go into effect in the next 72 hours, impacting those without "bona fide relationship with any person or entity in the United States." According to NAFSA (Association of International Educators), most students and scholars should continue to be exempt from the 90-day bar. Update on Executive Order: March 15, 2017. The U.S. District Court in Hawaii issued a nationwide temporary restraining order, putting a temporary stop on the executive order which was to go into effect on March 16, 2017.

Essential Functions

The International Services office serves the specialized needs of RBHS's international students and scholars and their dependents. Services include communication of relevant information to both students and staff by means of information workshops and orientation programs for new students, and provision of comprehensive advising. RBHS International Services ensures the university's compliance with all U.S. immigration regulations and procedures, and is the university's liaison to the U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security. Advice is provided to departments seeking to hire or enroll foreign nationals under the F-1, J-1, H1B, or O-1 visa classifications as appropriate.

RBHS International Services is a part of university-wide Rutgers Global (RGlobal). Rutgers Global works toward developing a comprehensive, campus-wide set of international initiatives and services, initiating collaborative projects and strategic partnerships around the world, and expanding students' opportunities for international study and research.
